Second Annual Broad and Cassel Health Forum to Examine Future of Health Care Delivery

The Florida-based law firm Broad and Cassel is hosting the second annual Health Forum, “Clinical Integration, ACOs and the Future of Health Care Delivery,” on June 1, 2012 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, 1 Seminole Way, Hollywood, Fla. Registration starts at noon, followed by presentations from some of industry’s top professionals knowledgeable about today’s rapidly changing health care landscape.

The price for the forum is $99, $79 for members of sponsoring organizations. The student rate is $50. A $20 discount is available to anyone who registers by May 1. The keynote speaker of the Health Forum is Chris Schlanger, MD, MBA, who is a managing director for the Advisory Board Company (http://www.advisory.com), a global research, consulting, and technology firm partnering with 125,000 leaders in 3,200 organizations across health care and higher education.

Dr. Schlanger will be speaking on “Health Care 2020: Charting Independent Practice Course in a Changing Health Care Environment.” He is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician who spent several years in active clinical practice.

Also speaking at the Broad and Cassel Health Forum will be nationally known health law attorneys, Mike Segal and Gabriel Imperato, partners with the statewide law firm Broad and Cassel. Segal, who chairs the firm’s statewide Health Law Practice Group, will address the “Ins and Outs of Clinical Integration and ACOs,” while Imperato, the managing partner of the Fort Lauderdale office and chair of the statewide White Collar Criminal and Civil Fraud Defense Practice Group, will discuss “Overpayment Laws: Refund in 60 Days or Face Penalties.” The firm’s chair of the Government Relations Practice Group, Douglas Mannheimer, will offer an update on the 2012 Florida legislative session.
