Gabriel Imperato, managing partner of Broad and Cassel’s Fort Lauderdale office and co-chair of the firm’s White Collar Defense and Compliance Practice Group, will be a featured speaker at the Health Care Compliance Association’s (HCCA) 18th Annual Compliance Institute.
Imperato will be moderating a panel discussion entitled “Corporate Governance and Liability.” Participants include Daniel Roach, General Counsel of Optum 360, Gregory Demske, Assistant Inspector General with HHS-OIG, Ryan Meade, Partner at Meade Roach & Annulis, LLP and Dr. David Herman, CEO of Vidant Health.
Imperato has practiced health care law in both the public and private sectors for more than thirty years and is Board Certified as a specialist in health law by The Florida Bar. He is also certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) by the HCCA. Imperato has served as a longtime member of the board of directors for HCCA and the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE). He is currently the First Vice President of these organizations.
The conference will take place March 30 – April 2, 2014 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, CA. Attendees will include healthcare compliance professionals, risk managers, privacy officers, coding and billing specialists, consultants and attorneys, government personnel, nurse managers and executives, health information management specialists, physicians and other industry professionals.
