Joshua Boxer, senior counsel in the Miami office of Broad and Cassel, has earned Florida Bar board certification in health law. Boxer joins an elite group of less than five percent of The Florida Bar membership that has pursued this level of recognition and is one of only 127 attorneys in the state who has achieved the board certification in health law.
Board certification is The Florida Bar’s highest evaluation of attorneys’ competence and experience in one or more of the 24 areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida. Florida Bar board certified lawyers have demonstrated ability and experience in their fields and professionalism within the legal community. About 4,600 of Florida’s 98,000 lawyers have earned board certification.
Boxer is a member of Broad and Cassel’s Commercial Litigation and Health Law Practice Groups. He advises institutional and individual healthcare providers regarding health care operations, compliance, transactions and litigation issues, including HIPAA, EMTALA, False Claims Act, Stark, anti-kickback, government investigations and subpoenas, bioethics, peer review, quality and medical staff issues.
Broad and Cassel boasts more lawyers certified in health law than any other firm in the state and has built one of the most recognized health care practice groups – regionally and nationally.
