Paul DeMuro Published in Compliance Today

Fort Lauderdale Of Counsel Paul DeMuro penned two articles in the October 2015 issue of Compliance Today magazine, published by the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA). The monthly publication includes educational articles on enforcement actions, new and changing regulations and compliance program management.

DeMuro’s first article, “Final rule for Accountable Care Organizations: Enabling technologies, Part 1,” outlines CMS’s final rule and the factors that impact care coordination, specifically those related to enabling technologies.

DeMuro’s second article, “Skilled Nursing Facilities: Quality Reporting and Value-Based Purchasing programs, Part 1,” examines the implementation of a SNF Value-Based Purchasing program in order to change how Medicare pays for healthcare services. This would ideally create incentives for better quality/value, outcomes and innovations.
