Miami Associate Edward Welch has been appointed to the executive board of the Alliance for Kids as well as The Florida Bar Clients Security Fund Committee.
Welch focuses his practice in the area of consumer financial services litigation and is a member of the firm’s Health Law, Commercial Litigation, Construction Law and Litigation, and Real Estate Litigation Practice Groups. He has been practicing in the tri-county area for nearly a decade, focusing on complex business matters, bankruptcy, consumer transactions, and the construction industry.
Welch joins the executive board of the Alliance for Kids as vice president of governance. The nonprofit organization focuses its efforts toward providing resources, special programs, and Child Life services for hospitalized children and their families.
In addition to his work with Alliance for Kids, Welch also has been appointed to The Florida Bar Clients Security Fund Committee for a three-year term. The committee reviews and processes claims made by individuals who have suffered a loss of money or property due to misappropriation or embezzlement by an attorney.
Welch is also a current member of the Florida Atlantic University College of Education Advisory Board as well as the Boston University Alumni Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and earned his juris doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law.
