Statewide law firm Broad and Cassel today announced Heather Miller has been appointed vice chair of the board for TrustBridge Health, the appellation that combines former organizations known as Hospice by the Sea, Hospice of Broward County, Hospice of Palm Beach County, Focus Care Home Health and Harbor Palliative Care.
Miller was named vice chair in January and will serve a two-year term. Having served the community for 35 years, TrustBridge Health offers support for families facing any stage of illness with home health care, hospice, and caregiver support. The organization provides support 24 hours a day toward resources, special programs, and Child Life services for hospitalized children and their families.
Miller is senior counsel and member of the Health Law Practice Group in Broad and Cassel’s Miami and Boca Raton offices. Here, she acts as general and special counsel to both hospitals and large medical groups. She centers her practice on complex health care transactions on behalf of physicians and hospitals, regarding regulatory compliance and federal and state fraud and abuse issues. Miller’s devotion to and expertise in health law has earned her multiple local and national acknowledgments in the South Florida Legal Guide and by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, where she was praised a “Top Up & Comer” from 2013 to 2016 and among the “40 under 40 Outstanding Lawyers in South Florida” in 2014.
The new role with TrustBridge Health will account as Miller’s third appointed board position, as she also holds a board member position with Palm Beach County Medical Society Services, Inc., and is publications vice chair for the AHLA Physician In-House Affinity Group.
